Press Release
The Well, Russia's Only Print Magazine Covering Career and Corporate Development Topics in a Bilingual Format, Moves to an Online Information Portal Format at www.TheWell.ru and Offers a Free Daily E-mail Subscription to Their Featured Article of the Day
Moscow, Russia -- September 7, 2005 - The Well, the popular local print magazine dedicated to career and corporate development issues, which is owned and managed by The Staffwell Group of Companies who specialize in recruiting, has changed to an online portal style format with a free daily email subscription to their featured article of the day, to expand its readership base. The Well launched online on September 6th, 2005 and can be located at www.TheWell.ru. The daily email subscription to The Well's featured article of the day will start on September 19th, 2005.
The Well made the decision to move to a completely online format to increase its readership from 10,000 print copies distributed mostly in Moscow, to a potentially unlimited readership base covering Russia and international markets.
According to Teri Lindeberg, CEO of The Staffwell Group of Companies and Publisher and Chief Editor of The Well, "Due to constant positive feedback we were receiving, from Russians in Moscow and Foreign business professionals visiting Moscow, who picked up the print version at business centers and restaurants, we knew we had created a magazine that was interesting, different, well written, helpful and desired. Being able to now reach a potentially unlimited audience in Russia and countries abroad, who have an interest in Russia relating to business, corporate and career areas, was the next natural step."
The Well's new online format also offers a free daily email subscription to their featured article of the day. According to Ms. Lindeberg, "I have no doubt that our daily article will become one of the most interesting and looked forward to parts of our reader's day. The topics and the writing are that good." She continued, "In addition, our readers will no longer need to search for The Well in business centers and restaurants, or remember to visit the website everyday. Now our readers will be able to just sit at their computers and have a great article from The Well automatically come to them daily in their email."
The highly popular Russian/English bilingual format of The Well will continue on the online version. According to Ms. Lindeberg, "Our audience was always intended to be both Russians and Foreigners. We put a lot of effort into ensuring our translations and editing are done to near perfection and staff both Russians and Expatriates for that reason. We have received hundreds of comments from Russian readers in the past commenting on their appreciation for the bilingual format, as many read both language versions to improve their English. All articles and information on the site are in both languages."
The Well's content will still include the results of hot topic surveys, industry reviews, market personality interviews, advice for those currently employed on managing their career, advice for job seekers, business services and human resources advice for employers, dining out reviews and job vacancies.
In addition, new content developed will also feature ongoing salary surveys, articles comparing work, education and lifestyle experiences in foreign countries, advice for companies opening an office in Russia, reviews on various educational institutions and degrees, a discussions section covering case studies on business scenarios and readers comments, and a coffee break section offering lifestyle, travel and humor features.
